20-May-2020

The field of data analytics has always been one of Sean's favorites, because of the many and diverse problems that it presents. With over 20 years of experience in database reporting, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis, and data science work, Sean always brings both energy and real experience to any project.

His experience in over forty projects over 20 years is wide and covers many industries, including health, aerospace, insurance, logistics, transportation, and more. Projects that he designed and coded include some that are province-wide and national in scope, delivering analytics and applications to thousands of users. Some of his designs qualified him for national research and development awards in Canada.

Because of his background, Sean is regarded as a data integration expert. This gives him a particular edge when it comes to analytics, because he can obtain, integrate, and analyze data with incredible speed. With his experience integrating Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2, and a host of other relational systems using .Net and Python technologies, he hits the ground running on any project.

Additionally, he is used to highly normalized environments with complex data models, like those found in insurance and manufacturing, and has integrated products like SAP, PeopleSoft, SugarCRM, BaanIV, erpLite, and others. He hand-codes his ETL procedures, creates his own data warehouses, and uses analytics products like SSRS and Power BI to produce analytics and reporting for end-users. He showcased forecasting solutions for many customers.

The goal of his solutions, though, is to help people see things they couldn't before. Visibility is the key to any business success, and helping companies leverage their data is Sean's specialty. He helps them to see beyond the data.

Sean may soon be featured on the Toptal listing for data analysis so stay tuned!
